What is NostAlgic?

NostAlgic is a Japanese Yume Nikki Fangame developed by TOM/Solnpass in RPG Maker 2000, Released in 2011.It is known for its very light color scheme and for having a generally more optimistic take on a YN-based exploration game.

Why do i like it?

NostAlgic is simple, calm and short. I highly reccomend people who aren't a huge fan of 'Darker' Fangames (Like .Flow) to give this fangame a go!

About the protagonist

A is the protagonist of nostAlgic. It is possible that A is linked with Allan. A's name becomes Allan when entering "the home" in the ending. Presumably, A is a reclusive kid who consequently refuses to leave their room. A's gender is debated, though their item screen includes the word "boku", the informal Japanese way for a man to refer to himself.

Their Appearance

A has shoulder-length blond hair that covers their eyes, a light blue-green long sleeved shirt with a red "A" in the middle, blue pants and brown shoes. Although A seems to be of ambiguous gender, with the profile picture completely obscuring their features, one of the effects give A a more feminine look. (The ribbon effect)

Their Personality

A does not seem very aggressive, unlike most dreamers (and despite the presence of a weapon effect). Their dreams are rather light and calming, making it seem like they have a very childish side, and seem to have been mothered a lot.
